Hollywood Production Asset Recovery and Tracking System (Hollywood PARTS, LLC) is a web-based business to serve the entertainment industry by helping production companies identify, recover, track, barcode, photograph, transport, store, manage and eventually sell or rent online, Movie Props, Movie Wardrobe, Movie Vehicles purchased or created in the making of all types of entertainment media.

Background
Billions of dollars are spent each year by the entertainment industry to purchase movie props, movie wardrobe and movie vehicles as well as movie set dressing to use on screen and off to create the entertainment we enjoy today. When the production is complete, many of these goods become “assets” of the production companies. There is a serious need to manage these assets in a more responsible and efficient manner than is currently utilized. Presently, assets from productions are routinely lost, stolen, stored in leaky containers or dusty warehouses. They are rarely re-used because the production staff most familiar with them are gone or involved in another production. Routinely, the same types of assets are repeatedly purchased. Production executives making the decisions do not always know what is in storage due either to inaccurate inventories or no “check in/check out” capabilities of the companies storing them. Often, assets worth thousands of dollars are sold for pennies due to rising storage costs or a lack of knowledge of the asset’s original cost. Studio executives have expressed the need for better real-time information regarding assets disposition- allowing them to make more informed decisions.

Hollywood Parts LLC was created to fill this ever- growing need to better manage movie props, movie wardrobe and movie vehicles as well as all other production assets.
